Supriya sighed as she stared out the window. She’d just gotten a letter from her father, stating that she was to return to India immediately. Apparently, she was to be married to a neighboring Prince. The girl frowned. She didn’t want to get married, she wanted to see the world. Silently, she looked up as someone entered the room. 

It was obvious at first glance that something was wrong with the princess. Agni could see the distress in her eyes; he had known her long enough to tell with these sorts of things (not that she was very good at hiding it). Immediately, his worrisome, protective instincts kicked in, and he rushed to her side. “Your Highness! Is something wrong?”
